All of a sudden I have a message waiting on my phone with a red light flashing. This is a single phone and it is not on a network. I do not have messaging from the phone company only an external answering machine. How do I get rid of the message waiting and turn off the red light. This is an old phone made in 1997 and no longer have the user manual, any ideas would be helpful.
