main line shows busy, phone company says it is our phone. calls were forwarded to answering service for the weekend and we cannot get any calls in our out on that line, nor unforward the calls. Line is not lit up as being used either.

0 You could have your PBX on night mode causing it to forward or if you have direct CO trunks, someone forwarded it via carrier codes. It depends on how you have your system set up. I would try the attendant phones and verify that it was not left in night mode.
