After accidently shorting remote (green and red) ...

After accidently shorting remote (green and red) wires linking room station to MS System MC350A master unit, the readout alternates between time-set (12:00) and REL5 (or RELS). What does the code REL5 (or RELS) mean? Can you recommend an easy remedy? Thanks Dan R
