My new LG 39C Dynamic II phone, though fully charg...

My new LG 39C Dynamic II phone, though fully charged, only turns on after a number of button pushes. Once I had to take out the battery and reinstall it for the screen to come up...was just getting the intro sound. Any idea of what's the problem here...assuming battery's good since the phone's just 2 months old?
