5 You might have DND turned on accidentally. If you tried *69 to call someone back, Hitachi default code is *6 for DND and there is the accident. Remember, the Hitachi was around before all modern codes came around. 1) Press speaker and dial **6(DND deactivation code) 2)You will hear 3 immediate beeps and "Confirmed" on display. Give it a whirl.

0 You could have the cover button on as well. If cover button is lit, press it once and it should turn to off and your are back in business.
