5 Programming Speed Dial Numbers 1. Raise the phone's receiver or push the "Power" or "ON" button if the phone is a cordless model. 2. Press the "Store" button to put the phone in programming mode. 3. Press the number on the phone's keypad (0 through 9) or one of the "Quick Dial" buttons (A, B or C) to which you want to assign a speed dial number. Press the "Store" button again to confirm your selection. 4. Enter the number you want to assign this memory location, using the telephone's key pad. 5. Press the "Store" button to save your entry. If your GE phone prompts you to enter the name of the person connected to the stored number, use the keypad to enter it. The letters of the alphabet are above the number on each of the keys. Press the "Skip" button to enter a space. Press the "Store" button to save the name. Erasing Speed Dial Numbers 1. Raise the phone's receiver or push the "Power" or "ON" button if the phone is a cordless model. 2. Press the "Store" button. 3. Press the speed dial memory location (0 through 9) or "Quick Dial" button (A, B or C) you want to erase. 4. Press the "Delete" button.
