on my furuno fm 8500 I have folowed message: Clear NO RAM EEROM ALL Also, VHF working on Ch. 16, only on display is Ch. 255 What to do? thanks

0 HOW, OR WHERE I CAN WAIT YOUR ANSWER, MY EMAIL IS redcom@prodigy.net.mx Maker: Furuno Model : FM8500 VHF Was observed that channel window give strange channel -231 and not responding on channel switch. We were checked troubleshooting in the manual, no similar symptoms found in the book. All attempts Switch on/off the unit das not works , after unit “on” it is back to same condition. E/E had checked unit as well and suspected that “built in” battery is dead.
