I have already called for help with my Emerson 6000 cordless phone and now the help line is always busy. The phone is new, all charged up (48 hours) and says "Handset 1" on the screen. I cannot get a dial tone. I tried the half hour "reset" twice. When I test the ringer, it rings but when a call comes in, it goes straight to the answering machine. I have disconnected it from answering machine and now just have it plugged directly into jack--still no luck. HELP!
