0 I had the same problem. I searched online for hours trying to fine the solution! Finally I used my cell phone and called my home number (the emerson was all plugged in on my home line). As the phone was ringing, (it was lit up but had the silent mode on) as it was ringing, I pushed the * (astric button) on the bottom left corner of the phone and it turned the silent mode off and the phone began to ring out loud. Hope that helps! :)
