I work for a Elementary school and we have the Dukane Star Call A71110. Can we change our bells or dose it have to be done by computer from the company we purchased it from? I worked for another school and we had a Dukane system and I could change them...but that has been 13 years and I do not recall how it was done.

0 If you have the StarCall system, the telephone would be the 7A1110 :) The bell schedules can be turned on/off from the telephone, but to change the bell times, you must connect to the system via an RS232 cable and use Dukane's programming software called RAPID. Any Windows computer will do (except Windows 8), but you will have to purchase a USB-to-RS232 cable converter. In terms of the RAPID software, I would contact Edwards Communications. Then all you have to do is install it onto a computer, and everything should work fine. Link to Edwards: "Contact Us": http://www.edwardsfiresafety.com/Home/ContactUs demil38
