my plow will work for a short time and then all of...

my plow will work for a short time and then all of a sudden the plow will no longer go up. It seems I have to plow into a bank before it will start working again.I here the motor running when I hit the switch and it starts to lift a tiny bit and stops. The left and right work fine.
