My phone doesn't ring ?? I can make calls and 1571...

My phone doesn't ring ?? I can make calls and 1571 picks up messages but my answer machine doesn't, I have bought a new phone yesterday and this one doesn't ring either.

5 Hi, Here is the manual for your phone. According to the manual, to turn your ringer on, press and hold again. Let me know if this doesn't work.
