programming a flash button...

we have older Avaya phones, Merlin ETR-34D, MLS 18D, etc. In tring to do three way calls and call transfers through our phone company our switchooks (hangup buttons) are apparantly so used we can't click them fast enough. How do we program one of our progarmmable buttons to flash? Thanks.
