Phone keeps losing caller ID. Have reprogramed it...

Phone keeps losing caller ID. Have reprogramed it repeatedly-- caller ID works for an hour or two and then loses it and can't be reprogramed for some time. Need it FIXED ASAP ! ! ! JUST bought phone and caller ID has NEVER worked. Caller ID works fine when I switch ALL phones to other phones. So NOT the phone line.
