Question About AT&T Cordless Telephone E597-1
handset problem...

I have acordless 5.8 ghz Digital land line phone that the screen says connecting, but I can't get a dial tone. The spaker hone works on the base unit. Is this the battery that is going? although the screen on the handset says it's charging????
