3 of my 52401 cordless models (4 phones) have lost...

3 of my 52401 cordless models (4 phones) have lost communication with the base set. I get a "press find HS on Base 4 SEC, then press# on handset", which I do, but they will not register. I keep getting a "registration failed" message. What am I doing wrong"
