I am getting intermitent high pitched squeaks from...

I am getting intermitent high pitched squeaks frome the phone. I don't hear it, when on relay, but it''s quite annouing to the hearing person on the other end. Is that repairable? Is there a knowledgable ameriphone repaiman in my area?
