61: Lock Phone This setting determines when your phone will be
locked. Your options are: “off,” “on power-up”
and “right now.” If you choose “on power-up,”
your phone will be locked whenever it is turned
on. “Right now” immediately locks the phone.
The default setting is “off.” You can unlock your
phone from the standby display by pressing the
dial. The phone will then prompt you to enter
the lock code.
62: New Code If you don’t want to use the last four digits of
your phone number as your code, you can use
this option to enter a new four-digit lock code
number. Be sure to write the number down so
you won’t forget it.
63: Restrict # This function allows you to restrict or unrestrict
access to individual phone book entries. Turn
the dial to scroll through the phone book to
find the entry you want to restrict or unrestrict.
The phone number of a restricted entry is not
displayed when you view the phone book and
make a call, it can’t be located by a digit string
search (see page 31) and it requires a four-
digit lock code to call, edit or erase.
64: Restrict All This allows you to restrict access to all num-
bers in your phone book. When this is turned
on, you must enter the four-digit lock code to
access the phone book for any operation.
65: Master Reset Select this feature to reset all menu settings to
the phone’s original default settings. This will
erase all of your custom menu settings, but will
not affect phone book or Calls List entries.
66: Erase Book This function erases your entire phone book at
once. When you select “Erase Book” from the
Security menu, press to erase all
phone book entries or press the dial to quit
without erasing.
67: Erase Calls Use this function to erase all of the entries in
your Calls List at once. When you select “Erase
Calls” from the Security menu, press
to erase all Calls List entries or press the dial
to quit without erasing.
68: Emergency # You can use the Security menu to store up to
three emergency numbers. You can call these
numbers, 911 and Sprint PCS Customer Care
even when the phone is locked. When dialing
