Answering a Voice Request
When the phone rings after sending or receiving a fax, pick
up the handset and answer it.
If you do not answer the Voice Request, the product prints
out the number that made the Voice Request, as well as the
time and date that the request was made.
Using the Toll Save Transmission
If you have set a specific toll save time using the FAX SETUP
menu (see page 5.40), you can quickly set your document(s)
to be sent at the preset time using the
SAVE Toll
button on
the front panel. Using this feature, you can take advantage
of lower long distance rates at night, for example.
1
Load the document(s) face up into the ADF until
“DOCUMENT READY” appears in the display.
2
You can adjust the resolution and the contrast to suit
your fax needs. For details, see page 5.3.
3
Press
SAVE Toll
. The display prompts you to enter the
fax number.
NOTE:
If you have not set a toll save time, specify the time in
the Fax Setup menu first.
4
Enter the number of the remote fax machine using the
number keypad.
You can also use a one-touch button or press
Speed
then use a 2-digit speed dial number.
5
Press
Enter
to confirm the number.
