Baby-sit function
Worried about your baby not sleeping? No need to
constantly go and check in his bedroom. The baby-sit
mode allows you to keep an ear on him wherever you are
in the house.
Conference call function
Thanks to the conference call, there is no need to travel
to meet people. Especially useful in a professional
environment where several work stations are connected
to the same base station, the conference call allows, for
example, two colleagues from Paris to communicate with
a colleague in China. A conference call allows two
handsets to share the same external phone conversation
in such a manner that each handset is able to
communicate with the two others.
Free intercom
No need to stop what you are doing and go to give the
handset to your son when his friend calls: you can freely
and easily call the handset in his bedroom and transfer
the call.
Full Duplex Handsfree
Full duplex handsfree use allows natural reproduction of
a conversation in which both sides can speak and be
heard at the same time, like in a natural conversation.
Using full duplex technology, you can have a smooth and
unbroken conversation with crystal clear sound and no
echo for both parties.
Polyphonic ringtones
A polyphonic ringtone means that the phone can play
many tones simultaneously, so that an accurate musical
performance is possible, and when played through the
phone's speaker these polyphonic ringtones sound like
real music.
Text messaging (SMS)
The Short Message Service (SMS) is a mechanism for
delivery of short messages which can have up to 160
characters of text. These 160 characters are plain text in
nature and can be comprised of words, numbers or an
alphanumeric combination. The Eatoni®LetterWise
predictive text editor helps you to write text messages
more quickly. With its unique SMS system you can
receive up to 200 messages in 10 different mailboxes.
Greeting to a loved one, a quick reminder about an
important meeting, …all this can now be put in a SMS
and sent over the fixed network.
Eatoni text editor
Eatoni's LetterWise is an easy-to-use text-entry solution
requiring just 1.16 taps per correct letter. It makes typing
on phone keypads as comfortable, fast, and accurate as
using a typewriter keyboard. It is unique among predictive
text entry solutions in its ability to easily handle the entry
of abbreviations, names, addresses, and URLs.
Personal mail boxes
Children at a certain age need some privacy at home
when sending SMS to their friends. But paying for several
mobile phones quickly gets very expensive. DECT phones
provide up to 9 personal SMS mail boxes which can be
protected by a PIN code - SMS can stay private despite
collective phone usage. The user must tell his
correspondents his mail box number so that they can
send short messages directly to this personal mail box.
Sending a SMS from a personal mailbox makes it easy
for the addressee to reply directly to this mailbox without
having to remember the mailbox number.
Backlight on screen
Backlighting is a feature that illuminates the LCD screen
or keypad for use in the dark. The two most common
types of backlighting include LED and electroluminescent
(EL). Remotes backlit with LEDs are typically bright but
uneven with a yellow or green color, while EL panels are
smooth with blue, white or green shades.
