You must choose an Internet (VoIP) Phone Service Plan and sign up for service. VoIP phone plans, rates, and features
may vary depending on VoIP Phone Service Provider. D-Link Systems, Inc. is not a Telephone Service Provider or VoIP
Phone Service Provider. Note that an electrical power outage or a broadband provider outage will prevent operation of
the VoIP phone, including for emergency purposes (e.g. calling 911).

When used with a VoIP service provider, this Business
IP Phone works just like a regular phone. VoIP service
maximizes your broadband investment by using your
Internet connection for both voice and data. The DPH-140S
delivers the latest in digital phone service, while retaining
the traditional phone experience.
With a compatible service provider, you can experience
the benefits of a Voice over IP phone service. Many
service providers offer unlimited local, long distance,
and international calling for a single flat rate. VoIP is
often considerably less expensive than the standard
phone service.
The DPH-140S includes an integrated speakerphone for
hands-free conversations or conference calling. The 2.5”
LCD Screen

displays dial-out numbers, entries in the address
book, and Caller ID numbers. Navigational menu keys
make navigating the address book a straightforward process,
while 10 memory function keys give you instant access
to your most frequently dialed numbers.
When used with compatible VoIP service, the DPH-140S
supports several advanced calling features including last
number redialing, mute, hold, and hands-free dialing. You
can also adjust the volume of the speaker and the ringer.
By connecting the DHP-140S directly to your DSL or cable
modem with one of the Ethernet ports, and connecting
your computer to the other Ethernet port, you don’t have
to make any changes in your network to use the DPH-140S.
Network pass-through allows you to talk on the IP Telephone
while you browse web sites, send e-mail, transfer files,
or perform other network tasks at the same time.
