AT&T 2 Telephone User Manual

Features
Park
When directing a call, you may find that a co-worker can’t be
located. Use Park to hold the call and use the Paging feature
to announce the call. (See “Paging”.)
When you park a call, you put it on hold so that it can be
answered from any telephone in the system. Calls can be
parked at specific Park Zone extensions on a DSS button.
Your co-worker can then pick up the call from the nearest
telephone by using Pickup and dialing the extension you
announced. If a parked call is not picked up in a time defined
by the set-up of your system, the call returns to you.
NOTE:
Park Zone extensions must be programmed for your
system. You must have a DSS with Park Zone extensions.
Speakerphone Paging group numbers and/or
Loudspeaker Paging access codes must be programmed
for your system.
To Use Park
While you’re on the call, press the DSS button programmed
with the Park Zone.
Call is parked. If the call is not answered in the time allowed by the system, it
returns to an operator console.
