remote access
how do you change the remote access code for the answering machine on model 2-9981B?(which is not a model listed on this website, but this one was the closest I found)
I used a 2-9981B years ago, and according to some notes I took (don't have the manual anymore) you press 2 (wait for beep) and then 123. The initial 2 could perhaps be any number. Be sure to hold down the numbers long enough for them to register. Hope this helps. You might also talk to the guy on Amazon at the attached URL (he's a collector who has this phone). Good luck.
