BlackBerry pairing

Warning: I am a technical numpty. Anything that I cannot follow in a linear manner makes my mind freeze.

Now, confessions over, I just cannot get my MV900 to pair with my BlackBerry Curve 8310. I agree that idiots like me should not get their hands on anything more advanced than a pencil, but I'm a nice idiot, and the lady of my life bought it for me!

Help will be sincerely appreciated.
