    searching
    my handset says "searching" and I cannot get a dial tone. what do I do?

    message light
    the message light is flashing and it syas there is a message but i cannot retrieve it as it then says that there is no message. the light continues to flash and the message envelope is there also. how do I delete this?

    one handset does't ring
    all of a sudden i noticed one of the handset not ringing, I went into perconal settings heard the ring, adjusted the volume but it works when setting it uo , but wen a call come in it doesn't ring. The manual doesn't talk about this. The batteries are fully charged. Maybe a defective habdset. Any thoughts

    answering machine
    Can't get my personal outgoing message on the machine. The answering machine will pick up the messages left.

    Blinking LED and Blinking ENVELOPE
    If you are seeing the message "NEW MESSAGE" and the ENVELOPE is BLINKING, and you know there are NO new messages, and the LED is blinking, simply hold down the "REDIAL/MUTE" key and keep it pressed down until you hear a beep. This will CLEAR the "NEW MESSAGE" message and will stop the envelope AND the LED from blinking!!
