  Buttons stopped working
  The only button responding is the pre-set clock and it cannot be changed. Was working, then quit!

  1720 problem
  We had a power outage in our home. When the power came back on, I reset the time on my AT&T 1720 digital answering machine but even though the power is back on, the number of messages keeps blinking "0" but does not answer the phone. How do I clear this problem?

  How to get machine running after clock change

  My answering machine has started beeping every couple of minutes. There are no messages waiting and I have changed the batteries and it still beeps
