Tapless digitial 1715 answer machine
We relocated and unplugged the machine. Now we have reconnected to new jacks and for some reason it will not pick up after the 2nd ring to allow someone to leave a message. How do I fix this?

We had a power outage in our home. When the power came back on, I reset the time on my AT&T 1720 digital answering machine but even though the power is back on, the number of messages keeps blinking "0" but does not answer the phone. How do I clear this problem?

Time/Day resets by itself
I program the current day and time and within a week or two, it reverts, I presume, to whatever the factory preset is and so is then usually wrong time and day. Batteries are good. Would pushing reset button help?
